I really enjoy creating natural product for my home so I thought why not make them for the chickens coop too!
Recipe for a 2oz Amber Glass Spray Bottle:
- Fill with Vodka
- 6 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- 6 Drops of Basil Essential Oil
- 16 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil
Now that you have you have your coop cleaner spray it on all the surfaces. The peppermint essential oil will help to keep spiders and mice out, basil essential oil will help to keep the flies away, and the lemon combined with the vodka will disinfect. The vodka will also help to keep the oils on the surface longer for a deeper clean.
To make my coop extra nice and clean for the girl I also chopped some fresh mint from the garden and put the leave in the nesting boxes. Mint will help to keep bug and flies at bay too.
